What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Cookies let a site remember things between pages and between visits, such as whether you have already dismissed a banner. Similar technologies, including local storage and tracking pixels, do comparable jobs and are covered by this policy too.
The cookies this site uses
Strictly necessary
These make the website function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They remember your cookie preferences, keep the site secure and help balance server load. They do not store anything that identifies you personally, and they are set without needing your consent because the site cannot work without them.
Analytics
These help us understand how visitors use the site: which pages are read, how long people stay, which calculators get used and where visitors leave. The information is aggregated, so it tells us about patterns rather than individuals. We use it to decide what to improve and what to write next. These cookies are only set if you agree to them.
Advertising
If adverts are shown on this site, our advertising partners may set cookies to measure whether an advert was seen or clicked, to limit repetition, and in some cases to select adverts thought to be more relevant. These are only set with your consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Our calculators do not use tracking cookies
The tools on this site, including the puppy cost calculator, run in your browser. Your breed, age, location and other selections are not stored in a cookie, not sent to our servers and not used to target advertising.
Managing your choices
You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link on this site. You can also control cookies through your browser: every major browser lets you view the cookies stored, delete them individually or in bulk, and block them entirely or on a per-site basis. Look under Settings, then Privacy.
Blocking all cookies is your right, but be aware that it will affect many websites, not just ours. On this site, blocking strictly necessary cookies may mean your preferences are forgotten and you are asked about cookies on every visit.
Third-party cookies
Some pages embed content from other services, such as videos or maps. Where that happens, the third party may set its own cookies, which are governed by their policies rather than ours. We try to keep embedded content to a minimum.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is currently no agreed standard for how sites should respond, so we do not alter our behaviour based on it. The cookie controls described above remain the reliable way to set your preferences.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or if you want to know exactly what is stored on your device by this site, email shenoyvaliyavilayil@gmail.com and we will explain.
