Summary
puppycostcalculator.com is a free information website. We do not sell goods, we do not sell digital products and we do not operate subscriptions or bookings. There is therefore nothing to return and nothing to cancel.
This page sets out that position clearly, explains where your rights do lie when you buy from businesses we link to, and describes what would happen if we ever introduced paid services.
Nothing to return
No physical product is dispatched from this website. No digital download, course or membership is sold here. Using our calculators and reading our guides costs nothing and creates no contract of sale between you and us.
Nothing to cancel
There is no account to close, no subscription to stop and no recurring payment to cancel. If you simply want to stop using the site, close the page. If you would like any correspondence you have sent us deleted, email us and we will remove it, as described in our Privacy Policy.
If you have consented to non-essential cookies and want to withdraw that consent, you can do so at any time through the cookie settings on this site or by clearing cookies in your browser. See our Cookie Policy.
Buying from businesses we link to
Where we link to a retailer, insurer, trainer, breeder or rescue organisation, any purchase is a contract between you and them. Returns and cancellations are handled under their terms, not ours, and we cannot intervene.
Your UK consumer rights in that situation are worth knowing. For most goods bought online you have 14 days from delivery to change your mind and a further 14 days to send the goods back, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. For services bought at a distance, you generally have 14 days from entering the contract to cancel. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 additionally entitles you to a repair, replacement or refund where goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose, and requires services to be carried out with reasonable care and skill.
Some things are excluded from the change-of-mind right, including perishable items and goods made to your specification. Live animals are a special case: buying a puppy is not a distance sale you can simply cancel, and a responsible breeder or rescue will have their own contract covering what happens if a placement does not work out. Read that contract before you commit, and be wary of any seller who will not provide one.
Complaints about a third party
If a business we have linked to has treated you badly, please tell us at shenoyvaliyavilayil@gmail.com. We cannot resolve the dispute, but we will review whether we should continue linking to them. For the dispute itself, contact the trader in writing first, then consider Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133, an alternative dispute resolution scheme if the trader belongs to one, or your card issuer’s chargeback process.
If we introduce paid services
If we ever sell anything, a full return and cancellation policy will be published before sales begin, covering cancellation rights, timescales, how to make a request and how refunds are processed. It will meet the requirements of UK consumer law, and your statutory rights will never be reduced by it.
